GeocockpitTM |

Our experts have designed many commercial geophysical systems
for land, marine, borehole and airborne applications.
The most challenging environments were oil field borehole or
intrinsically safe systems for German coal mines.
Technically we were reaching limits when building a new
generation of nuclear magnetic resonance systems to measure
porosity and permeability of drill cuttings. Our design
philosophy is to use as many
commercial components as possible and couple geophysical
concepts with highly integrated control circuitry.
Further, we take our design guidelines from commercial price
targets and use as much as possible our overseas teams to meet
these price targets.

EM |
| |
Our surface EM systems include land and marine system. For
on-land applications we specialize on high channels count at
costs/channel close to seismic acquisition system. For
marine applications we focus on modifying existing systems for
special time domain operations or the development of complete
systems. Our team is responsible for 2 generations of
seismic systems fully adapted to
controlled source electromagnetic applications.

Permanent Sensor Reservoir
Monitoring |
| |
- Gravity/Deep density:
The construction of small cost effective
down hole gravity sensors becomes for the first time
feasible. KMS Technologies is carrying out a Feasibility project that links
this technology with down hole reservoir engineering
with the goal to develop a complete technology package
for the industry.

| |
- EM Permanent Sensor:
KMS Technologies has invented a system
for mapping changes in fluid content of Earth formations
which can be used where there is little acoustic
impedance contrast between moved fluids, where the moved
fluids are relatively electrically resistive, and which
does not require permanently emplaced sensors in
substantially every wellbore drilled trough a reservoir.
While we can operate with little
acoustic impedance, the integration with seismic is key
to our overall direction of linking fluid and porosity
monitoring with the exact location in the
three-dimensional space.

- Single Well EM:
Based on using multi-component electromagnetic receivers
and electric and magnetic field measurements, KMS
Technologies derived a system that can read deep (50 - 200 m) in the formation while maintaining high vertical
resolution. The system is also integrated with other
methods such as seismic and/or DC measurements. Both of
which can be used as constraints to allow real time
interpretation. The system adds better integration with
seismic and array tools as well as LWD. Our patent
portfolio in this area is extensive.
We are presently developing a
single-well EM system for geosteering applications.
This project is presently funded by a
group of selected oil companies and closed to the
public.

- Through Casing Resistivity:
We have filed various patents allowing
us to develop a Through Casing Resistivity Logging tool.
Several have already granted and several more are
anticipated. Our design strategy is
based around fully digital, multi- sensor acquisition,
which will eventually yield a moving through casing
resistivity logging tool.
We are presently seeking interested
parties to develop this technology.
